Keyword Spamming is repeating the same keyword over and over again without any meaning or relation in your webpage in order for the keyword density of your page to extremely high. This is inorder to lure the search engine bots to the website. These webpages will be filled only with keywords and no content. Hence the webpage will seem like garbage to the normal search engine user. Search Engines do not like keyword spamming because it leads to the detoriation in the user experience and when an user receives only garbage pages while performing search queries their is a possibility that user may leave the search engine and go to his competitor's search engine. If the search engine thinks that you are a keyword spamming website there is a high probability that they will delist your website from the search engine results and ban your domain.
2. Link Farms:
Well this is the 2nd thing not to do in SEO. Link Farms as the name signifies is just lots and lots of links in a webpage with no content. Link farms form the absolute bane of an user's search query experience. Never provide a backlink to a Links farm from your webpage because it may adversely affect your own search engine ranking. Also make sure that the no of outbound links never exceed a certain no of links. Each search engine has their own limits. But limit the maximum outbound links from a single webpage to a maximum of 30 -40 outbound links. If the search engine thinks that you are a link farm there is a very high probability that they will delist your website from the search engine results and ban your domain. If possible always ensure that the no of backlinks coming to a webpage or website is greater than the number of outbound links from your webpage or website
3. Be careful to whom you link to on the web:
Well this is the 3rd thing not to do in SEO. This is due to the fact that Search engines also analyses to whom your website links to in the web. If your website provide lots of links to Link Farms, Warez sites and other known bad neighbourhood websites then their is a high possibility that the search engine may think that your website is also a bad website. This is may lead to a drop in your search rankings.
4. Domain Cloaking: The sure shot way to get yourself banned:
Well this is the 4th thing not to do in SEO. Domain Cloaking is the most complex of them all. It is where the website shows one webpage which has highly optimised onpage SEO to the search bots and crawlers and another totally different webpage which with totally different content to the Search Engine User. The webpage being shown to the search engine has no relation to the webpage which has been indexed by the search Engine. This method is mostly employed by warez , and other bad neighbourhood webpages. Domain Cloaking is mostly done by advaced URL Redirection techniques so be careful when you redirect your visitors. Use 301 or 302 techniques while redirecting your users. If you are having an apache server it is easier for you to redirect users by writing the URL Redirection directions in your htaccess file. If your search engine thinks that your website uses domain cloaking methods then you can be 100% sure that you and your website will be banned from your Search Engine Results.
5. Lots of Cross Linking Links between your own websites:
Well this is the 5th thing not to do in SEO. Cross Linking Links between your own websites is actually a bad thing. For example consider you are Mr Thomas and you own 10 websites each having totally different domain names. If all of the 10 websites are in the same hosting account then all of them will have the same C Class IP Address. Since all the websites have the same Class C IP Address the search engine will know that all the domains are owned by the same website owner. But in cases where each domain is in a separate hosting accounts in lots of different hosting companies then it becomes very difficult for the search engine to know that all the websites are owned by the same person. 7. Duplicate Content: The bane of Webmasters

Even though duplicate content won't get you delisted or banned from Search Engines it may lead to a copyright suite from offended website or a takedown notice. Duplicate content on your website leads to your website being listed in similar content which is really bad thing if you are webmaster or the owner of the website. What this means that if Mr John copied an article from Mr William's Website and put it in his Website called John's Article then the copied article will only be displayed when people click the Similar Content Button near Mr William's Website.
